FARMERS TRAINING UNDERTAKEN BY IHT IN COLLABORATION WITH ASSAM AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY AND CENTRAL AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, MEGHALAYA – AUGUST 2022
IHT, Mandira, Assam in collaboration with Assam Agricultural University and Central Agricultural University, Meghalaya organized training on bio-fertilizer and bio-pesticides at IHT Mandira Assam campus in August 2022 with an objective to make farmers aware of the potential of bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides. This training was conducted under the project of “Multi-institutional approach on development of technology driven bio input production clusters for mass production of bio fertilizers and biopesticides for promotion of eco-friendly farming with collateral development of bio entrepreneurship in vegetables, spices and small tea growers of North East Region of India for better livelihood”. Bio-fertilizer was provided to the selected farmers by Dr. Nirmal Mazumdar, Principal Scientist from HRS, AAU, Kahikuchi, Guwahati Assam and Dr. Pranab Dutta, Associate Professor, CPGSAS, Central Agricultural University, Umaiam Campus, Meghalaya.
