Extension contributes to national development programmes IHT has till date provided trainings to 58000 trainees mainly farmers, extension officials from almost all states and union territories of India.

Besides this students and prospective entrepreneurs are also benefitted from the hands on training they receive in IHT

The department works with multi-disciplinary experts for extension activities which helps in studying and solving the rural problems.

This is very important for rural development and improve the standard of living of farmers. Extension makes good communities better and progressive.
